Performance & Capability

Under the hood, the 2016 Kia Sedona SX Luxury is powered by a refined Lambda 3.3L V-6 direct injection engine featuring DOHC and CVVT variable valve control. Generating 276HP, this transverse-mounted engine delivers confident acceleration and smooth passing power on the open highway. The powertrain operates through a 6-speed automatic transmission with Sportmatic sequential shift control, allowing for smooth gear changes and driver control when desired. Engineered with front-wheel drive and a 3.041 axle ratio, the Sedona balances capability with efficient everyday performance, achieving an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. A four-wheel independent suspension system—featuring front struts and a multi-link rear setup—works alongside gas-pressurized shock absorbers and front and rear anti-roll bars to maintain a stable, compliant ride. To maintain optimal operating conditions during heavy family duty, the vehicle comes equipped with an integrated transmission oil cooler.

Technology & Connectivity

Inside the cabin, advanced technology keeps driver and passengers connected, entertained, and informed on every journey. The center console features an integrated navigation system with voice activation, making route planning straightforward and hands-free. A premium 8-speaker Infinity audio system delivers clear, immersive sound throughout all three rows, playing content via AM/FM radio, CD player, MP3 capability, or SiriusXM satellite radio. Bluetooth® hands-free phone connectivity and wireless audio streaming allow effortless smartphone integration, while three USB ports and an auxiliary input jack ensure everyone's devices remain charged and connected. Drivers benefit from a supervision digital and analog instrumentation display with a 3.50-inch display screen that provides clear vehicle notifications, speed limit information, and trip computer data. To complement the driver experience, UVO eServices smart device integration adds convenient mobile app features and emergency assistance access directly at your fingertips.
